Mr. Catalfamo is the Senior Estimating Manager with Tofel Dent Construction. Prior to joining our team in 2016, Mr. Catalfamo had 32 years commercial construction experience in Tucson; he has since added hospitality and multifamily experience to his resume. He started his construction career with a commercial general contractor as a carpenter in 1985 and quickly worked his way up to field superintendent. He was promoted to estimator in 2001. Since that time, he was lead estimator for many competitively bids projects and provided estimates and budgets for all the negotiated, construction management, and design/bid/build projects that company had participated in since 2001. His experience includes a comprehensive range in all facets of the construction industry.
Mr. Catalfamo’s field experience gives him the ability to look at each project as more than costs on a spreadsheet. He knows what the field world is like and can provide valuable advice during the design phase with not just costs of materials and methods, but constructability, value analysis, and life cycle.
His experience in the construction arena has included projects in all areas such as multi-family, hospitality, senior living, as well as commercial retail centers, medical facilities, industrial buildings, manufacturing facilities, automotive offices and facilities, restaurants, educational buildings (public, charter and university), office buildings, historic renovations, religious facilities, financial buildings and improvements, fraternity houses and residential buildings and improvements.
